A resolution has been adopted setting permit fees for golf carts and small utility vehicles that will soon be legal on Clinton streets.

The Clinton Daily News lost one of the most loyal and dedicated members of its family Wednesday.

Steve Belcher, a reporter and news editor here since 1973, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was 64.

The Christmas holiday season kicks off this year when the Clinton Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Festival of Lights and Chocolate Festival, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1. Chamber president Julie Menge said that the silent auction will also start at 4 p.m. in the Pepsi Event Center, and the Parade of Lights will begin at 6:30 p.m.



Tonight’s Class 4A quarterfinal contest between Clinton and Wagoner will be one of three matching up teams from District 4A-1 versus District 4A-3.


After, by his own estimation, 41 years, one month and one week in the pulpit of the First Church of God, Roy Dobbs told his Church Council and congregation Sunday that he is retiring.
