Even though fireworks aren’t allowed within city limits, Clinton Police and Fire Departments are getting prepared anyway for the inevitable Fourth of July celebrants that choose to disobey the law.

Lifeguard, a 26-year-old company based in Birmingham, Ala., promised Thursday to have two fully staffed ambulances on call and a third as a backup if the City of Weatherford chooses the firm as its emergency medical services provider.
