A phenomenon in Bessie since the 1950s, the north Washita County community off of U.S. Highway 183 will be hosting its whole hog sausage and pancakes meal from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the old Bessie Gym with proceeds to benefit the Bessie Volunteer Fire Department.

The Custer County Junior Livestock Show opens at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Custer County Fairgrounds in south Clinton on U.S. Highway 183.

On the 2015 Clinton High School Maroon Legal Team are Caleb Blanchard, Chandler Miller, Jose Diosdado, Zach Fletcher, Shelby Hartness, Tadyn Miller, Daisy Roque, Catherine Hensley, Caleigh Martinez, Jacob Rivera and Londyn Limes., On the 2015 Clinton High School Gold team are Damon Ray, Carly Youngberg, Rowdy Hartness, Landon Aneshansley, Morgan Jones, Jordan Amaya, Tyler Calvert, Parker Williams, Jacob Ventris, Cooper Sperle, Love Waldroop and Nikki Ray.

Clinton High School Legal Teams have kicked off their season with scrimmages against other schools, teacher coach Kathy Kelley said.
