Custer County Department of Human Services Child Welfare is working with community partners to make Christmas special for children in state custody. Area businesses and churches are hosting Holiday Hero Trees. Some are participating for the first time, and others have helped for several years.

CASA of Western Oklahoma, a non-profit organization that provides court-appointed special advocates to children in foster care, recently received its biggest ever corporate donation. The $5,000 gift came from CoBank, on behalf of Clint E. Roush, owner and operator of Clint Roush Farms, Inc.

Memorial services for Jesse V. Hayes, 82, of Zellwood, Fla., formerly from Clinton, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Kiesau-Lee Memorial Chapel.
Hayes died Aug. 12, 2015.

Joey Lee

Funeral services for Joey Lee, 37, Clinton resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel.
He died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, in Oklahoma City.

A mass of Christian burial for Johnny “Poncho” Galvan Sr., 68, of Butler, will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clinton.

Bradley Lee Peek

Funeral services for Bradley Lee Peek, 43, of Cordell, have been set for Saturday, 10 a.m. at the Kiesau-Lee Chapel in Clinton.
He died Aug. 24, 2015, In Amarillo, Texas.

Nancy Lucas

Funeral services for Nancy Lucas, 44, Butler resident, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday at the Butler Baptist Church.
She died Aug. 25, 2015, in her Butler home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel in Clinton, Oklahoma celebrating the life of Mrs.
