Cancer radiation ending here
After 25 years of serving western Oklahoma cancer patients, the Clinton hospital is losing the radiation side of its cancer treatment center.
“We need to have five-day coverage, and we’re not able to obtain it at this time,” the hospital’s chief executive officer, Robin Lake, said Tuesday. “We’ve tried multiple groups to get coverage, and it’s just not available.”
By five-day coverage, Lake apparently meant the hospital is required to have a radiation oncologist present Monday through Friday.
