$17,000 found in 107-mph auto
More than $17,000 in cash and money orders was found in a car that Trooper Daniel Mosburg stopped for going 107 miles per hour on Interstate 40, but so far the driver has been charged only with a couple of misdemeanors.
The driver, 25-year-old Tristin Mitchell of Hampton Bays, N.Y., was charged with possession of marijuana and driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. The vehicle was a rented 2014 Chevrolet.
Mitchell has been released on $1,000 bond. Disposition of the case is scheduled Aug. 12.
